At our April 2023 General Meeting, Dr. Victoria Dreitz, Director of the Avian Science Center and Professor in Wildlife Biology, shared with us her work both through the University of Montana and with the Avian Science Center. She, along with her university students and other conservation professionals, have been doing on-the-ground research of birds to inform conservation decisions. In this presentation, she shares what the Avian Science Center does, discusses research performed in grasslands in central Montana, a project involving White-faced Ibises and the wetlands they inhabit, as well as gives a sneak peek at research done studying domestic cats in the Bitterroot area.
