Montana Audubon, in collaboration with Montana Fish, Wildlife, & Parks, is excited to announce our newest Citizen Science project—nightjar surveys! Common Poorwills are a Species of Greatest Inventory Need and a Potential Species of Concern in Montana. Common Nighthawks lack statewide population and distribution data, and populations are declining nationally. These surveys will take place across the state, from June 1 to August 1. Big thanks to the Tracy Aviary for funding support!
Mark your calendars and join one of our upcoming trainings:
- May 9, 6pm @Montana Audubon Center, Billings
- May 14, 7pm, Zoom
- June 27, 7pm, @Montana WILD, Helena
