Birding and The Day of the Dead in Oaxaca, Mexico
September 9 @ 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Mexico is a vibrant and diverse country, full of endemic birds and rich culture. Two of the most famous examples are the endemics species of Oaxaca and the Day of the Dead celebrations!
Josh Covill details the exciting birds, culture, and world-class food from his recent trips to this incredible corner of Mexico during one of the biggest festivities of the year.
Josh started birding with the Flathead Audubon Society at 13 years old and has since made birds a centerpiece of his life. Now, he owns his own guiding company based in the Flathead, as well as leading tours internationally for Hillstar Nature.
No matter where he travels, his love and fascination with the natural world is still rooted in those early days of FAS bird walks with fabulous teachers and friends.
Our meetings are available both in person and virtually. For those attending the meeting in person on September 9th, we’ll meet in Room 26 of the Gateway Community Center at 7pm. This room is located on the east side of the building along Glenwood Drive. Look for our banner outside.
