BIRDS OF PREY FESTIVAL

The 13th Annual Birds of Prey Festival will be held on Saturday, September 14 from 9 AM to 1 PM at Lone Pine State Park in Kalispell. Check out the Outdoor and Educational booths and take part in eagle and owl face painting, bird arts and crafts and activities for the entire family.  The event will begin with an early bird watching trip at 7:30 am with  Denny Olson (Professor Avian Guano) followed by:

Live Hawks and Owls with the Wild Wings Recovery Center

10:00 AM Basic Raptor Identification with Derrick Rathe, Lone Pine State Park Ranger

11:00 AM- Birds of Prey Lore with Kari Gabriel, the Montana Bird  Lady and some of her live owls and hawks

12:00  Eagle and Vulture Migration and Ecology:How We Can Help with Kate Stone, Avian Scientist with the MPG Research Ranch

Due to the huge turnout and parking issues at Lone Pine Visitor Center, there will be a free shuttle van moving participants from the Family Life Christian Church parking lot to the Visitor Center. Please use it if you can.

The event is FREE and open to the public.
