Creston Fish Hatchery Field Trip

April 18 @ 8:00 AM 12:00 PM

Please join Flathead Audubon leader Michell De Leon Tyler for a walk at the Creston Fish Hatchery to look for migrating birds moving into the Creston area of the Flathead Valley. Spring migration is a fun time to see small birds as they prepare for spring nesting, such as chickadees, nuthatches, juncos, waxwings, and possibly warblers. Other likely birds include Belted Kingfisher, American Dipper, various duck species, swans, and geese. Red-tailed Hawks, Bald Eagles, and other raptors, such as accipiters and falcons, may also be seen. We will also look for resident owls, and, weather permitting, do a short walk around Jessup Pond.

Wear sturdy boots and layers suitable for possible wet conditions, and bring binoculars and water. Please sign up with Michell at (406) 250-5238 or michell@flatheadaudubon.org.
