Full Moon in the Flathead Waterfowl Production Area
January 31 @ 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Join FAS Conservation and Education Coordinator Jess Garby and FAS Owen Sowerwine
Chairperson Pam Willison on a full moon hike on January 31st at the Flathead Waterfowl Production Area! This night time hike is great for those who want to experience the magic of the moonlit landscape, with the hopes of hearing some owls. Welcome in the “Snow Moon” with us!
Meet us at the large parking area by 7pm. We will be walking a minimum of 2.5 to 3 miles through snow on mostly level, bootpacked trails, but keep in mind the lakeshore is quite icy and there are a couple of slopes we will encounter.
Please bring a headlamp, as well as wear good boots and bring ice cleats and/or snowshoes. There are no restrooms available. The event is capped at 10 participants. To sign up, please contact Jess at jess@flatheadaudubon.org
