Great Backyard Bird Count at Lone Pine State Park

February 14 @ 10:00 AM 1:00 PM

Join Flathead Audubon Society and Montana State Parks at Lone Pine State Park to celebrate the Great Backyard Bird Count with a fun, family-friendly event for all ages.

📅 Saturday, February 14
⏰ 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
📍 Lone Pine State Park Visitor Center

Spend the morning observing and counting birds, learning about local species in the Flathead Valley, and contributing to an international community science project. There will be hands-on activities for kids and adults alike, including making bird feeders, crafting recycled “binoculars,” and creating a colorful Blue Jay yarn project.

Knowledgeable Flathead Audubon volunteers will be on hand to help identify birds and answer questions, making this a great introduction for beginners and an enjoyable outing for experienced birders.

No prior birding experience is needed. Dress for the weather and bring your curiosity.
This event is free to attend (non-resident vehicle fee applies).

We’d love to see you there.
