Urban Birding in the Flathead Valley
April 25 @ 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Join Flathead Audubon Society President Darcy Thomas and Flathead Conservation District Conservation Program Manager Jessie Walthers for a relaxed, beginner-friendly walk. With wetlands, mature trees, and a trail along the Stillwater River, this park offers great habitat and easy birdwatching. We’ll move at a comfortable pace with time to stop, listen, and look.
Possible sightings include Downy to Pileated Woodpeckers, Wood Ducks, Common Mergansers, Spotted Sandpipers, Belted Kingfishers, Tree Swallows, Red-eyed Vireos, Black-headed Grosbeaks, Northern Waterthrush, and Yellow Warblers.
No experience needed. Binoculars will be provided. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. All experience levels are welcome! Restrooms available. To sign-up, please email Darcy Thomas at Darcy@flatheadaudubon.org.
