Wayfarers State Park Birds & Native Plants
May 21, 2025 @ 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Join local naturalist Kathy Ross in exploring the rich biodiversity that spring at Wayfarers has to offer. Experience a leisurely spring flower and bird walk, as we learn about the native plants and birds that thrive in this east shore native habitat of Flathead Lake.
See and hear Spotted Towhees and Chipping Sparrows foraging in the lupine/ninebark understory, while Bald Eagles, Merlin, and Osprey soar overhead. Lazuli Bunting can be easily viewed, singing from chokecherry branches.
Dress for variable spring weather conditions. Each walk is limited to 6 participants.
For meeting information and to sign up, contact Kathy at 406-837-3837.
Special note: if you are unable to walk the trails, we are happy to arrange a meeting at another time to share spring birds and blooms in Wayfarers Park with you. Leave a message with your phone and contact information at the above phone number.
