It was another record year for the Great Fish Community Challenge, put together by the Whitefish Community Foundation. This amazing charitable giving event brings together donors and nonprofits from throughout the Flathead Valley to help raise funds and build awareness of the critical work these organizations perform.
While we await their final numbers and their percentage match to participating organizations, we are excited to announce that we have raised more than we ever have through this wonderful fundraising event. Our preliminary results show that over 135 donors donated over $33,000! This will help fund our conservation programs such as the Jewel Basin Hawk Watch, as well as our education programs including the just concluded Birds of Prey Festival.
On October 22, at the Great Fish Awards Celebration, the final numbers will be presented, and we’ll pass that info on to you. In the meantime, pat yourselves on the back for a job well done. Now time to get back to the important work of helping birds!
