Highlights from the October 7, 2024 Board of Directors Meeting

- Rod reviewed the 10/1/24 financial report. The Board passed a motion to accept and approve.
- The History Committee presented their vision for celebrating FAS’s 50th anniversary in 2027.
- Denny reported that the Birds of Prey festival was a great success and he thanked all who helped.
- Pam shared that the two new bridges at Owen Sowerwine are installed. This involved lots of hard work from many volunteers, especially from Pam, and Keith Hammer.
- The Hiring Committee selected an enthusiastic and qualified individual for the Operations/Educator position.
- The Jewel Basin Hawk Watch observers continue to record impressive numbers of birds. So far, over 3,000 raptors of 16 species have been counted.
- Total donations from the Great Fish Challenge are $34,185. Thank you to all for your generous donations.
- The Board approved renting a dedicated office space/meeting room in the United Way building.
