Creston Raptor Quest

Join Darcy Thomas in a quest to find winter-resident raptors as we travel the roads around Creston. Migration with its’ huge numbers of raptors passing through on their way south is nearing an end, but many raptors winter over in the Flathead Valley. We will focus on roadside identification of Red-tailed and Rough-legged Hawks in various plumages. We should see a few Bald Eagles as the route takes us along the Flathead River.

We will meet at the Creston Fish Hatchery and park near the main office on Fish Hatchery Road and return there at the end of the trip. Limited to 10 participants with carpooling highly recommended. Please sign up with Darcy Thomas at 406-407-8263 or darcy@flatheadaudubon.org.
